1. Overview
Akera subscriptions are billed in advance through our payment processor on a monthly or annual basis. Cancelling stops future billing immediately; refunds for the current billing period are governed by this Refund Policy and the Terms of Service.
2. Cancelling a subscription
You can cancel at any time from Subscription settings inside the app, which opens your billing portal. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period; you retain full access until then.
3. Refund eligibility
- Annual plans (first 14 days). If you cancel an annual plan within 14 days of the initial purchase and have not materially relied on paid-only features, we will refund the prorated unused portion on request.
- Monthly plans. Monthly plans are not refundable by default. You can cancel to stop the next billing cycle.
- Duplicate or accidental charges. We will refund duplicate charges and obvious accidental upgrades on request.
- Statutory rights. Nothing in this policy affects refund rights that apply to you by law (for example, the right of withdrawal for EU/UK consumers).
4. Beta-period considerations
While Akera is in public beta we may extend additional, case-by-case consideration for refunds when a paid feature you signed up for is materially delayed or unavailable. Write to us and tell us what happened.
5. How to request a refund
Email help@akera.tech from the address on your account with the subject line “Refund request” and a short description of the issue. We aim to respond within five business days.
6. Chargebacks
We’d rather hear from you than from your bank. Please contact us before filing a chargeback so we can resolve the issue directly. Accounts associated with disputed payments may be suspended pending investigation.
